This year I am attempting to cycle from Lands End to John O’ Groats in just 5 days during June, as a fundraising exercise for the Bishop Simeon Trust.
The trust raises funds for HIV/AIDS work in South Africa, particularly work with orphans and vulnerable children. It is endorsed by news reader, Jon Snow.
The name of the ride reflects the urgency with which the HIV/AIDS problem in South Africa must be addressed – both the needs of those already affected by the virus, and those who can still protect themselves.
